IBOTTA SEASONAL EVENTS

At Ibotta we run over 45 seasonal event campaigns a year. Last year was the first year our team completed the look and feel for all events prior to the start of 2026. They were very templated, but left a lot of room for last-minute design pivots.


This year, my goal is to complete all 2027 events in the same timeline, but take even more guess work out of them. Each program will have the same templated name lockup and the same layout. We will give each program their own punchy color combination + a little dabble of seasonal flare.

THE APPROACH

I wanted 2027 to be the year of simplification. Every single seasonal event seems to have a last-minute rush, buy-in, or swap out. I know we will never be able to remove all of the fire drills completely, but I want to minimize them as much as possible.

Here is only a sample of the what the 2027 design approach will encompass. We are looking to give each event a templated lockup and layout with individual fun, energetic color combinations and seasonal flare.

In-app banners is one placement. These seasonal campaigns scale across three additional in-app ad products, email, social, paid media, and tv.

MARKETING BUILDER

The same way the Ad Product Builder creates ad products for the sales team, the marketing team will be able to build in-app seasonal event assets.

By the end of 2026 we will have all our seasonal events loaded for 2027. This will the allow our integrated marketing team move extremely quickly on last minute buy-ins or rushes.

Marketing won’t be the only team with access to the tool. The Sales Team Managers will also be able to take any seasonal event and create live mockups to pitch to prospective clients.
