Meyer Ranch Park is a beautiful open space that climbs up into the cliff side. As we were hiking I kept imagining what this trail would look like in the Fall. The trail was littered with Aspens and we all know how I feel about those beautiful nature starbursts. So this is definitely a place we will be hitting again in a couple months.
There are several different loops within the park. We took Sunny Aspen to Old Ski Run and looped around. Once we started inclining, the trail was pretty much covered in snow. Its was all packed so we got away with not wearing any traction, but I would recommend them because it was pretty slick. The trail was decently wide so when we passed other hikers with dogs it wasn’t a big issue. We saw one mountain biker, so I’m assuming it is a much used biker trail in the warmer months.
If you take a right out of the parking lot instead of getting straight back on the highway, you will drive through some beautiful countryside and even get to see Tiny Town! We didn’t stop, but I could see how it would be a fun thing to do after a hike with young children.
Overall, the trail was beautiful and well kept. I can’t wait to see it with the sea of yellow this Fall.
