Earth-shattering limestone and all the sunshine your heart desires. What else more do you need? Blue really does compliment orange. We actually hit this trail before embarking on Deer Creek Canyon. They are within minutes of each other so it’s hard not to see both in one outing.
This would be a great hike to bring older hikers or young children. The trail is as easy as it comes without being paved. The entire trail is fenced in to keep people off of the rocks. Limestone is fragile and would easily wear down if climbed on. There isn’t any shade (except for that one spot I made sure to get a picture of). That being said, don’t forget the sunscreen!
The views are fantastic, but you can see residential property scattered around. Personally, I like not having houses and buildings in the background while I’m hiking, but at the same time I would love to have a house looking over this landscape. So it is an internal struggle and I definitely see both sides as far as development goes.
